This week, the school holidays kicked off with a fantastic start as we were joined by Burnley Football Club players’ Manuel Benson and Taylor Harwood-Bellis, at our Easter Activity Camps down at The Leisure Box.
They were greeted by some very excited children, who were raring to ask questions, and they got to see the various sessions running, including activities such as football, dodgeball, climbing, and arts and crafts.
The children were very eager to show off their footballing skills to both Manuel and Taylor, who who were delighted to see the passion shown on the 4G pitch!
They were accompanied with some fantastic surprises from our activity camp participants, which included some Easter themed cards and letters, as well as hard hitting questions such as ‘Ronaldo or Messi?’ and ‘what’s your favourite food?’
Two lucky children were also selected to be awarded limited edition medals, signed by the players themselves
It was fantastic to welcome the players do the facility, to show them the variety of work that is carried out throughout the charity on a day to day basis.
On behalf of children and the Charity, we want to pass on our huge thanks for the players visiting!
