BFCitC Celebrate 10 Years of Heroes on Community Day!

On Saturday 17th February, Burnley FC in the Community are celebrating our 10 Year Anniversary by taking over the Burnley vs Arsenal fixture, bringing you a day of family fun and entertainment with a superhero twist, all for a great cause.

We’re raising money for over fifty provisions that BFCitC run, including our foodbank, dementia sessions, disability sport programmes, veterans’ group, and much more. We’re passionate about making a difference in our community, and this match day takeover is just one way we can do that.

Our fanzone will be packed with activities for young people, including penalty shootouts, keepy uppys, and a climbing wall.

For our older audience, there is plenty to enjoy too, from guess the goal minute to a Burnley FC Signed Shirt Raffle and Burnley FC First Team prints available to buy for only £2!

Alongside all the fun, we are also raising money for the charity through our campaign ‘Bring a pound to the ground’! If you’ve got a pound to spare – we would really appreciate you dropping it in one of our charity buckets.

If you don’t have a pound on you, you can get involved in our text to donate campaign by texting UTC1 to 70560 to donate £1. We appreciate every donation we get, no matter how small!

What’s Going on:

We have a range of different free activities for you to choose from:

  •      Face Painting
  • Penalty Shootout

During the event, we will also be supporting Lancashire Archives’ BFC & Me photos exhibition, celebrating fans’ experiences with Burnley Football Club.

Join us in the fanzone to meet the people behind Clarets Collected and view some of the fantastic items already part of the collection.

If you have any photos that could contribute to this collection, please email them to archives@lancashire.gov.uk. Even if you have pre-digital photos, we’d love to see them! Stop by the fanzone, where we can scan them for inclusion in the exhibition.

We hope everyone attending has a fantastic day, enjoys the activities, and, most importantly, we thank you again for your ongoing support.
