At Burnley FC in the Community, we have a wide range of meaningful, mutually beneficial partnerships, with a range of organisations, one of those being Thorne Fire and Security.
Last month, we sat down with Managing Director, Hadrian and Business Development Manager, Tom to discuss their incredible business journey, their partnership with the charity and their work with the club.
Thorne Fire and Security recently celebrated their seventeenth birthday and currently provide fire and security systems for a wide range of clients including Burnley FC, VEKA, and Stonyhurst College. Hadrian told us “Burnley FC have been part of the business since day one. When I was 19, I worked here as a contractor, and since then we’ve never really left!”.
Tom also has a close relationship with the club as he told us “I used to play for Burnley FC Youth, I attended the centre of excellence from age seven and played in the reserve team until I was 18”. Tom also described how, still to this day, coming in for a business meeting at Turf Moor gives him that same buzz as it did all those years ago!
The company have been one of our partners for several years and their support, alongside our other partners, means we can continue to run our well-needed provisions in the community. Hadrian told us about how important it is for businesses to give back to their communities and how one of the main reasons he supports Burnley FC in the Community specifically is because of the values we promote, the programmes we run, and because he believes in the power of football.
Hadrian and Tom describe themselves as “just two Burnley lads” and that’s exactly what they are! There motto is ‘work from our office door outwards’, they focus on working with businesses and charities in their local area and we are incredibly grateful for their support.
