We are thrilled to announce Fort Vale Nuclear have committed to financially supporting our Cancer rehab programme Clarets Rise.

Burnley FC in the Community are proud to announce Fort Vale Nuclear will be supporting our Cancer Rehabilitation Programme ‘Clarets Rise’. Along with Fort Vale Nuclear, have partnered up with NHS East Lancashire Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support to create a safe environment for support and one to one advice for anyone living with or beyond cancer.

The group is centred around rehabilitation, information, socialisation, and exercise! During the sessions, there will be a range of healthcare professionals who are able to offer expert advice on topics such as diet, lymphoedema prevention, holistic therapies, and support groups. The sessions offer individuals the chance to take part in different activities and exercises at appropriate levels to each person. We encourage our participants to share their experiences and support each other. Sessions take place every Monday 1pm until 3pm at The Leisure Box in Brierfield.

Peter Staveley, Director of the company, said: “The team at Fort Vale Nuclear limited look forward to working in partnership with BFCitC, in its work of providing a positive impact on the lives of the people in our local communities.
