Burnley FC in the Community are delighted to announce that we have achieved the Gold Award in the 2023 Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for our commitment to supporting the armed forces community and their families.
Since 2013, 193 organisations have received the gold award. Seven of these awards were achieved in the Lancashire and Cumbria area, including ours!
We caught up with our Veterans Programme Co-ordinator Daniella who told us, “It’s such a pleasure to work with an excellent team here at BFCitC. All the hard work and dedication put into ensuring we are a suitable employer for the Armed Forces Community is admirable. We can now proudly pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and align our core values with the Armed Forces Covenant”.
Veterans Project Officer John added, “We have now enhanced our offer by recognising those that served and their families. By doing this through support of employment, career opportunities and guidance into future employment. We are very proud of this achievement”
