Burnley FC Players visit BFCitC Community Projects

On Tuesday 12th March , Burnley FC players Manuel Benson, Hannes Delcroix, and Dara O’Shea visited Blessed Trinity High School, where Burnley FC in the Community runs their Schools Mental Wellbeing Project.

The players participated in our Mental Wellbeing assembly and shared their insights on maintaining mental health and wellbeing.

Deputy CEO, Michael Colquhoun told us “It was an incredible opportunity for the players to join one of our mental wellbeing sessions and witness it first-hand. The daily influence our staff have significantly benefits the students, but having the players reinforce these efforts by sharing their own advice and stories adds immense value and meaning.”

The excitement continued as Lorenz Assignon, Maxime Esteve, and David Fofana visited Accrington and Rossendale College to observe our Burnley FC in the Community Shadow Youth Team and Post-16 Girls Teams during their training sessions.

Football Development Manager, Nathan Mottram told us, “This is the second time this year we’ve welcomed the players to our Shadow Youth Training program. It’s truly inspiring for our players to meet the team and envision themselves in that position one day, knowing it’s achievable through hard work!”

We would like to say a huge thank you to Burnley Football Club for continuing to provide these opportunities for the young people we work with and support us in making memories for our community.
