Burnley FC in the Community's Activity Camps are perfect for children who want to take part in lots of fun activities during the half-term.

Our Leisure Box Camps are taking place from the 3rd - 6th April and 11th - 14th April. These timetables gives you an insight into all the activities taking place throughout both weeks at The Leisure Box!

⚽WOMEN'S FOOTBALL WEEKEND⚽

Last week, Burnley FC in the Community hosted a friendly match between Burnley FC’s Emerging Talent Centre and @bfcct Emerging Talent Centre at Shuttleworth College.

Our Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) is aimed at girls aged 8 to 16 and aims to give more girls the chance to take their first steps on the pathway towards playing professional football and following in the footsteps of the inspirational Lionesses.

To start off the evening, Megan the Women’s First Team Strength, and Conditioning Coach, got our team warmed up and ready to give it their all! The girls then split off into different pitches and the matches began!

Whilst the girls were playing, we caught up with the Andy Aspinall the Female Football Development Manager for Blackpool FC’s ETC who said “Thank you to Burnley FC for inviting us down, it’s brilliant to see so many talented girls coming together and playing football. It’s a great opportunity for talent girls all over the North West to meet and learn from each other”.

To finish off the evening, we gave out Burnley FC Shirts to all our players so they can wear them with pride next time they’re on the pitch!

A big thank you to both teams, the coaches and staff for supporting the evening – we can’t wait for more friendly’s in the future.

🏀NETBALL NOW - SESSION UPDATE🏀

Our Netball Now session will not be on over the next few weeks and will commence again on Monday 17th April after the Easter Break!

A big thank you to everyone who has been coming along and we can't wait to see you all, and some new faces, after Easter!

If you would like to come along sessions take place every Monday, 5pm-6pm at Nelson and Colne College! 📆

Last week our brilliant U11’s team from Water Pr

Last week our brilliant U11’s team from Water Primary School came in 3rd place in the Regional Girls Tournament 🥉

The day consisted of 10 back-to-back games against teams including Manchester City and Manchester United in which our girls won an incredible 6 out of 10 games.

After all the games were completed, Olivia Newbitt one of our Primary Stars participants, was awarded with the ‘Be Inspiring Award’ for never giving up and inspiring other girls to keep pushing! Burnley FC and Water Primary were commended on their performances and efforts.

We spoke to Tracy Cuthbertson, Chair of Governors at Water Primary school, who said “I am absolutely ecstatic that the children of Water Primary School have been so successful in achieving such amazing results at the Regional Girls U11s tournament’.

We were also delighted to have the support of Burnley FC First Team Women’s Player Olivia Wilson, who said “I have no words! One of my proudest moments was watching these girls, playing with freedom, and enjoying themselves!

🏏NEW CRICKET SESSIONS🏏

Burnley FC in the Community are excited to announce we are partnering with Lancashire Cricket Foundation to offer FREE @Premier League Kicks Cricket sessions for young people aged 8-19 years old.

These sessions will focus on key areas of cricket including batting, bowling, fielding and will be delivered in a fun and inclusive way and are open to boys and girls of all abilities.

Do you want to be part of our Shadow Youth Team? ⚽️

Our Shadow Youth Team programme is delivered by Burnley FC in the Community staff in partnership with the Nelson and Colne College Group and gives talented young players between the ages of 16 and 18 the chance to combine academic studies with practical football experience.

We have two upcoming open trials coming up and we would love to see you there:
