It’s estimated that 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience some form of mental health problem each year

Yet despite mental health problems being commonplace, very few people seek help – often because of the perceived stigma attached. 

The Claret in Mind programme aims to promote mental health and wellbeing by raising awareness, reducing the stigma (particularly for men) and providing weekly physical activity sessions. 

A relaxed, football session is held every Tuesday at the Leisure Box, Brierfield. The session runs from 1:00pm-3:00pm and is completely free to attend.  

The purpose of the sessions is to promote physical activity and awareness of mental wellbeing, but it also accommodates people who are looking for support beyond the football pitch. Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) support our Claret in Mind initiative and we run the programme with their partnership.

We are excited to announce our brand new Claret in Mind social session which will be held at Burnley Cricket Club at 10:00am-12:00pm for ages 25-50. The sessions will include help with improving mental and reducing social isolation
with CVS and LAL and BFCitC staff.

 If you are looking for support without the football sessionAndy’s Man Club is held every Monday at Turf Moor from 7pm.
