Elliot's story
Elliot started his journey with BFCitC by attending our Premier League Kicks on a Monday evening at the Leisure Box and has now been coming to our sessions for a number of years. When Elliott first started he was a timid young boy and really wanted to improve on his footballing ability and learn who to make friends.
Since then, Elliot has become a role model, by helping and supporting his peers and staff wherever he can. He has also attended a number of trips and events such as attending a Tournament at Manchester United as well as taking part in the Christmas reward trip to Ski Rossendale. Elliot is a confident young man that is open to try any new sports/activities and is more than happy to assist young people that may need an extra hand without the coaches asking him.
We caught up with Kate, Elliot’s Mum who told us “The sessions help my child to do what he enjoys. He always wants to attend and likes to help others in the group. The experience has been rewarding and I am proud to watch him grow and develop and find a sense of belonging”.
We also chatted to Elliot himself about the sessions, he said “They’re fun! I have the chance to help and support others just like me. I am enjoying my sessions and the coaches are nice and friendly. I feel safe at The Leisure Box”.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Elliot for being a brilliant ambassador and a real role model during our sessions.
