On Friday 15th September, BFCiTC hosted our third golf day at Nelson Golf Club, raising over £9,000 to support our community initiatives.
Twenty teams tee’d off for a day of golf, thanks to the generous event sponsorship of Green Shield Group and golf ball donations by PPS (Pennine Pneumatic Services Ltd).
Although the Land Rover prize, courtesy of Vertu Jaguar Land Rover in Nelson, remained unclaimed for a hole-in-one, one golfer managed an unbelievable hole-in-one on a different hole! Plenty of other prizes remained up for grabs with golfers winning longest drive & nearest the pin competitions which were kindly sponsored by Burnley College, Communications Plus Limited, Brsk & Windle & Bowker
The day ended with an exciting raffle and auction, prizes & trophies kindly sponsored by Bowland IT – Business IT & Telecoms & FRICTION COMPONENTS AND SYSTEMS LIMITED with attendees enjoying the classic Burnley meal of pie, peas, and gravy courtesy of McDevitt Electrical & Controls LTD
