Benefits for young people

We are looking for young people between the ages of 16-25 to take part in our Hatch Employability Programme and attend paid four-week placements in a business in the local community.

Our Hatch Employability Programme has  been  co-designed  with  young  people  and  employers,  utilising learnings from KFC and UK Youth’s employability programme portfolio, and enables young people to develop essential skills, understand the job market, and be supported in their transition into work. 

Taking part in our programme can bring a number of benefits to candidates, including:

Our stories

Chloe, is currently on our Hatch programme, where she is on placement at The Leisure Box.

“Working at the Leisure Box has allowed me to progress in working on my customer service skills, mainly accommodating customer related queries both on our booking side and phone. This has helped me develop both my written and verbal communication skills, as well as my self-esteem. Overall, It has been a fantastic experience, and one in which I hope to continue.”

After completing his four-week placement at The Leisure Box and taking part in our Hatch Programme, Brendan was offered a job at The Leisure Box.

Brandon told us, “The Hatch Programme has been a great experience, it has positively impacted my communication skills and I’ve really come out of my shell. I’m thrilled to say that I’ve now secured a position at The Leisure Box, and this whole experience has significantly boosted my self-esteem and morale”.

Faizan, is currently on our Hatch programme, where she is on placement at The Leisure Box.

Faizan told us, “My experience at The Leisure Box has been thoroughly enjoyable, with the staff consistently displaying friendliness and support. Working with Hatch has been particularly beneficial in boosting my confidence in interpersonal interactions, nurturing relationships, and well managing real-world situations.”
