Each year, as December arrives, the Burnley FC in the Community Foodbank experiences a significant increase in demand, reflecting the local community’s preparations for the festive season. At this time of year more than ever donations to the Foodbank help to make a real difference in the surrounding community’s.
This year we have been extremely fortunate to receive generations from numerous local businesses:
VEKA and SPAR UK have joined forces to make a generous donation of sweet treats to the foodbank. As partners of Burnley FC in the Community, both companies decided to collaborate this Christmas to spread joy and support those in need. Their combined efforts will help ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy the festive season.
Barnfield Construction are actively involved with Burnley FC and this year they decided to support Burnley FC in the Community through donating selection boxes to the Foodbank. Their kind donation will help to bring smiles to many faces and help ensure that as many children as possible in the local area will receive a selection box this Christmas.
MKM Building Supplies Burnley have once again taken on the BFCitC Toy Appeal this Christmas and what they have achieved has been overwhelming. Made up from donations from their suppliers and businesses local to them they have managed to fill 4 ton bags full of toys for children of varying ages all the way up to 16. Their incredible generosity will help ensure that vulnerable children in the local community can receive a toy Christmas.
Burnley business Gener8 Healthcare got into the Christmas Spirit by making a donation to the Burnley FC in the Community Christmas appeal. They donated a selection of toys for children of different ages along with crates full of selection boxes. This is just the beginning of Gener8 Healthcare’s journey supporting BFCitC and both companies are excited to see what the year ahead brings.
Burnley business Miro Products Ltd reached out to Burnley FC in the Community this year to see how they could help during the festive period. They decided to take on the appeal and were kind enough to make a large donation of stuffed animals to the ton bags donated by MKM. They also came down to Turf Moor to donate some selection boxes to our foodbank which we are very thankful for this.
BFCitC want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has generously contributed to our foodbank Christmas appeal this year. Your contributions will bring joy to many faces this festive season. However, the need for donations doesn’t end with Christmas; there are always individuals in our community who require our support.
