Premier League Primary Stars
Premier League Primary Stars (PLPS) uses the appeal of the league and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills, with a view of supporting the holistic development of children
PLPS inspires children aged 5-11, both inside and outside the classroom, whilst underpinning all elements with high-quality teaching materials that cover English, Maths, PE and PSHE.
The programme seeks to connect learning to the real world of sport, helping school staff to enthuse pupils to learn about resilience, diversity, self-esteem and fair play.
Our Values
- To inspire children to lead healthy, active lives.
- To engage children in all aspects of their learning.
- To motivate children to be the best they can be.
- To develop school staff to feel confident and eager to teach PE.
Our Vision
To use the inspiration of Burnley FC, Burnley FC in the Community and the Premier League to inspire children across surrounding regions to learn, be active and develop important life skills.
Our Mission
To offer a primary school programme that uses the appeal of the sport to improve and enhance Physical Education (PE) and other curriculum areas.
We look to develop those crucial skills and values that will lead the children we work with to lead healthy, active, well-rounded lives.
PLPS Values
Each of these four key values are integral to every part of the PLPS initiative. Throughout the planning, delivery and evaluation phases we strive to create outstanding people who can play a part in making our communities a better, more prosperous place for society to live and operate.
