Sports Tournaments

Helping children reach their goals

Our Education Team run a wide variety of different tournaments across Burnley for our local primary schools to get involved with.

Throughout the academic year, our Primary Education Team hosts a variety of tournaments at several venues within our community. These events provide enriching opportunities for students to engage in competitive and non-competitive sports, fostering teamwork and skill development.

We proudly organise a range of football tournaments, including KS1 3v3, U11 Girls (competitive), Year 3/4 Girls League (non-competitive for those new to the sport or wishing to try it out), U11 Mixed, Year 3/4, and NFL Flag Football League. The NFL Flag Football League requires a six-week training period with a member of our team before the competition. All our tournaments are held on Thursday mornings at The Leisure Box. Winning teams have the exciting opportunity to represent Burnley FC in the Community at both regional and national levels.

In collaboration with The Pennine Trust, we are also delighted to co-host a series of Maths Challenge Events. These events invite gifted and talented children from Years 2, 4, and 5 to participate in a series of challenges, with the top five teams advancing to the grand final at Turf Moor.

We warmly invite any schools interested in participating to reach out to Lianne Bradford at
