Recreational Sport
Participating in sport can have a wide range of benefits for young people.
Not only does it help their physical development, but sport can also develop their social and emotional skills and help them understand the importance of teamwork.
Almost any sport that non-disabled young people enjoy can be adapted to be enjoyed by disabled young people.
But at the current time, we don’t feel there are enough sporting facilities or provisions to help introduce and encourage disabled young people into the world of sport.
That’s why Burnley FC in the Community have set up impairment specific multi-sport sessions for the Under-18s.
All sessions are delivered by qualified and experienced instructors, and are a great introduction to a wide range of different sports in a positive environment.
Our timetable of Under-18 sessions includes:

- 17:00 – 18:00 – Climbing
- 18:00 – 19:00 – Dance
Wednesday
- 17:00 – 18:00 – Under 12’s Multi-sport
