Social action
Burnley FC in the Community’s Social Action Projects enable and empower pupils to address an identified social need within their school or local community over a minimum of six sessions during curriculum or extracurricular time.
Our two current social action projects are Planet Super League and GULP.
Planet Super League
Our Planet Super League project is all about taking climate action and supporting others and schools to be greener. Throughout the programme pupils will complete different planet saving activities to help the environment. Pupils will also have the opportunity to compete against other clubs and schools to become Planet Super League Champions.
GULP – Give Up Loving Pop
Give Up Loving Pop is a campaign that aims to helps pupils cut back on sugary drinks by raising awareness of the health harms of over-consumption and by informing pupils of the benefits of drinking alternatives such as water and milk not only for health but also in terms of educational attainment and sporting performance.
