Burnley FC in the Community is kicking off 2026 with a major new partnership, joining forces with VEKA as the company celebrates its 40th anniversary. To mark the milestone, VEKA has committed to a full year of volunteering and fundraising under the 40 Good Deeds initiative – a campaign designed to make a real difference across local communities.
Supporting communities across the region
Throughout the year, VEKA staff will roll up their sleeves to support BFCitC projects across Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, the Ribble Valley and West Yorkshire. Their involvement will combine hands‑on volunteering, helping the charity continue its work with more than 32,000 people annually.
VEKA already backs BFCitC’s No Nay Never Dementia Café and Extra Time programmes, and their teams will now be contributing to even more initiatives. Their time and energy will help tackle isolation, promote healthy ageing, and strengthen community connections.
Alongside volunteering, VEKA employees will also take part in fundraising and support events such as International Older People’s Day. Mixed‑department teams will compete throughout the year, with a prize awaiting the group that pledges the most hours.
